Review 

I really enjoy femdom romances - there aren't enough good ones around in my humble opinion - so I was looking forward to reading Giving It Up. Unfortunately though I had a couple of problems with it and ended up just liking the book instead of loving it. I did still enjoy it, just not as much as I was expecting to.

Beatrice has fallen for handsome SWAT officer Warren Davis, but unfortunately he seems to dislike her and actively avoids her. Warren is very attracted to Beatrice but due to family demands he's not got time for a relationship. He also thinks that his sexual desires will be too dark for Beatrice. When she catches Warren on the phone trying to hire a professional Dominatrix, she convinces him to hire her instead. Can he give up his control in the bedroom without giving up his heart too?

The storyline was fun and I loved a lot about it, for me though I struggled with the middle part of the book. It started to feel very slow and I began to lose interest in the story. I also frequently got annoyed with Warren, for some reason he really wound me up! My favourite thing about the book was the heroine, Beatrice. I loved how she took such a big chance to gain Warren's attention and affection, she was a great character. I wish I could award this book more stars, but sadly I can only give it three.

Review 

The Billionaire's Christmas Bargain is a fun and sexy holiday themed femdom novel, complete with a tortured hero who hates Christmas and everything that goes with it.  It is the third book in the Billionaire's In Bondage series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Joely Sue Burkhart writes the best femdom stories around, she expertly blends emotion, humour and passion to create must read books. I absolutely loved this book, it is definitely in my top five femdom romances.

Harvey Cain lost his parents in a car accident that also left him with physical and mental scars.  He has become a recluse and hasn't left his gloomy mansion for years. Family friend Maxwell has tried everything to help Harvey but nothing has worked, so he comes up with a dramatic plan to hire a professional Domme to see if submitting to her will help him.  Kelsey enters the household pretending to be Maxwell's niece who needs a few weeks work. As she begins to break down Harvey's walls she develops strong feelings for him.  But how will he react if he discovers that Kelsey's services have been bought and paid for?

I must admit that I have a soft spot for grumpy, irritable heroes, especially when they are paired with a strong heroine who is intent on melting the frost around their heart. And you can't get much grumpier than Harvey! I just loved his grumbling and how he tried to hide the joy that Kelsey brought to him behind his grouchy mask. Yes he's spoilt and arrogant, but Kelsey helped us to see through Harvey's hard outer shell to the good man beneath.

The chemistry between Kelsey and Harvey was sizzling, they were such a good match.  I also thought that the BDSM scenes were really well done and they were hotter than hell.  The Billionaire's Christmas Bargain is a fabulously kinky Christmas story - five stars!

Katrina was halfway through an episode of her favorite drama series when her doorbell rang. She jumped, gasping as her heart lurched painfully, then pressed ‘pause’ on the remote control. As it happened, it wasn’t a salesperson. She ducked back from the window, clenched her hands into fists.

“What the fuck is he doing here?”

He was literally the last person she’d expected to see standing at her door. Prince William or George Clooney would have been less of a shock.

For there, outside her house, stood the man that had broken her heart several months ago. Thomas Black. She hadn’t seen hide nor hair of him since, and now, totally out of the blue, he’d turned up.

Katrina contemplated ignoring him, going back to her show and pretending she wasn’t in. But apparently that wasn’t an option.

“I know you’re there, Katrina,” he yelled through the letterbox, “your car is on the drive, and I can see the glow of the telly through the curtains.”

They moved over to the sitting area, and Katrina deliberately sat in the chair, so Tom couldn’t sit next to her. Settling onto the end of the sofa nearest to her, he clasped his hands together, presumably to summon his courage, and began.

“Kat, I’m here to say I’m sorry, all right? I was wrong, so wrong, to finish with you the way I did and go off with Alicia.”

“She dumped you, has she?” Katrina clenched her teeth, and felt the rage beginning to build inside her. If Tom thought he could come running back to her because his bimbo had ditched him, then he had another think coming.

“No,” he said firmly, and, she suspected, honestly. “I finished with her, actually. When I realized that I wasn’t happy with her. She never made me feel the way you do, Kat. Not once. And I know, I know it’s my fault. I wanted something… different from what we had, or at least I thought I did. I couldn’t help thinking at the time that what we did was wrong, was weird. Review 

Testing Tom is a short and sexy femdom novella that I really enjoyed. It's only a quick read, but it's really well written and it is very sexy. This is the second book that I've read by Lucy Felthouse and she is a talented author - and she sure knows how to write BDSM scenes that are hotter than hell!

Katrina was heartbroken when she was dumped by her submissive, Tom, for a vanilla woman. So when he turns up on her doorstep months later wanting a second chance, Katrina is understandably wary.  The professional Dominatrix comes up with a series of tests for Tom to prove that he really loves her and is serious about their relationship this time.  Can Tom prove to his Mistress that he really is back for good?

The book only takes place over a few days, so we only get a quick glimpse into the characters lives and relationship, but I still felt connected to them. The story is told entirely from Katrina's point of view so I felt especially connected to her. The chemistry between Katrina and Tom is sizzling, they were so hot together. This is a fun, sexy short story that receives four out of five stars.

Review 

Dare Me is another great novella from the Steele Brothers series, but this one is slightly different than the previous two books as the hero is a submissive not a Dom. It is just as hot and as enjoyable as the previous books, it's a great addition to the series. 

Rafe has moved to Vegas to join his brothers after returning from the military, and they soon offer him the chance of joining FANTA-C so he can experience a fantasy night with the woman of his dreams. What they don't realise is that his dream woman is not a sweet submissive, it's a strong Domme. Rafe is ashamed of his longing to submit and wrongly believes that it makes him weak, so he signs up for one night hoping to get it out of his system. Summer is a young, innocent looking teacher who attracts men who want to protect her from life - but what she really wants is a strong man who will submit to her in the bedroom. Is Rafe the man for her?

I loved Rafe, although his thinking that submissives are weak did annoy me! Summer doesn't look like a stereotypical Domme, but she is actually a great dominant and the ideal match for Rafe. This is a short book, but it is definitely worth reading. Four stars.

Review 

I used to read a lot of historical romances but I ended up getting bored of them - well there's no chance of getting bored of this historical romance with a twist! It's racy little story with a MMF ménage romance, a BDSM theme and a Domme who knows what she wants and how to get it.  This book is set in the late 1700s when it was a hanging offence to be gay or have 'unnatural perversions', so this adds an intriguing backdrop to the story. 

Simon is a rich Viscount with strong feelings for his best friend Matthias. But Matthias has always bottled up his 'unnatural' feelings for Simon, which has caused to him punishing himself by gaming, brawling and losing his fortune. Simon comes up with a solution to help his friend work off his frustration and need for punishment, and arranges for the Mistress of Discipline, Felice, to help him. Things become intense and complicated between the trio, which leads to a fascinating story that I really enjoyed reading.

This is a fairly short book, so there's not a lot of room for character development, but it is still a great book that held my attention from start to finish. The BDSM scenes are imaginative, varied and very hot and the storyline is interesting. The Mistress and her Men gets four out of five stars.

Review 

Femdom novels are a bit hit and miss for me, but I absolutely loved this one.  Both of the main characters are likeable and are easy to connect with, and the storyline was interesting. I was very impressed with the author's style of writing, it's easy to read and the story flowed well. This is the first book I've read by Sheryl Nantus but it won't be the last, I'll be looking out for future books in this series.

Kate was hurt by her last submissive, so for the last year she's been working as a professional Domme so that she can use her skills without getting emotionally involved. Alex is a video game developer who hires Kate through Hooded Pleasures, so that he can find out if he really is a submissive without risking attending a club.  Throughout their sessions they grow closer and emotions become involved, but Kate insists on keeping things strictly business and won't bend the rules. Can Alex convince Kate that he's the man for her?

Kate was an intriguing character - strong in many ways, but also strangely vulnerable and afraid of getting hurt again.  Alex was a total sweetheart, I loved him to bits. He really cared for Kate and I admired his determination in trying to win Kate's heart. I enjoyed this book a lot, so it definitely gets five stars.

One in Waiting is a sexy MMF ménage romance with two hot heroes and a feisty heroine who happens to be a Domme.  There are plenty of hot scenes, but there also an intriguing storyline which involves a second chance for love between two former high school sweethearts - with the added complication of the hero's gay lover.  It's a fun, sexy romp that I really enjoyed.  It's a well written story with great characters and a good plot. I'll definitely be looking out for more books from this author.

There are obviously still feelings between the pair, but Leary has a long term partner in Ren. They are in love, but Ren is submissive and needs things that Leary is unable to give him. When they find out that Emilie is a Domme they begin to think that she's the missing piece in the puzzle that is their relationship.

I really liked all three of the main characters, but I must admit that my favourite was Ren - he is so sweet and sexy. The chemistry between the trio is hot, and the dynamics between them were really interesting. This is an enjoyable read that gets four out of five stars.

How to Punish Your Playboy is a fun, lighthearted femdom novel. It took me a while to connect with the characters and to really get into the story. I had difficulty believing that someone would suddenly decide that they were a Domme and start playing with a stranger without any training. This took me out of the story a bit to be honest. That was the main bugbear for me, but this may not be a problem for other readers.  The humour in this book is great, it works really well. The storyline is quite unusual and is interesting to read. This book is also very hot, there are some great steamy moments.

Veronika is a curvy pin-up model who's looking to raise some money by selling her classic hot rod car. When the gorgeous man who buys it wants a date with her and asks her to show him the ropes, things take a rather surprising turn. This takes us on a sexy road trip with Veronika and Aston having a chance to get to know each other more intimately. Can they overcome the obstacles that a road trip will put in their path?

This is an easy read with lots of laughs and plenty of sexy times. I'd say this was an ideal beach book when you want something lighthearted and easy to read. How to Punish Your Playboy gets three out of five stars.

Yay! We're finally back at the Shadowlands with our favourite group of dashing Doms and sexy subs! And this time Cherise Sinclair has given us a fantastic femdom novel starring Mistress Anne.  I've been waiting for the sadistic mistress' story for a while now, and it was definitely worth waiting for.  The hero of this book was a huge (but wonderful) surprise for me - it's the Shadowlands' security guard Ben! Yes the huge, cuddly, vanilla teddy bear who blushes easily has set his sights on the scary Domme! His Dom friends think he is crazy and are worried that Anne will eat him alive, but Ben proves that he's got bigger balls than all of the tough Doms - and he's willing to put them on the line to win his lady!

Anne has always been a hardcore sadist with a preference for pretty boy slaves, but recently she's not been happy dishing out extreme pain. This led to her ending things with her last slave, Joey, who craved more pain than she felt comfortable with. We get to find out much more about Anne, her background and get an insight into why she became such a strict Domme.  I've always loved Ben, ever since he looked after Jessica in the first book, and now I love him even more. His heart is even bigger than his huge, muscled body - he is an all round good guy who can do no wrong in my eyes! His journey from vanilla to submissive is fascinating to witness - but Anne isn't looking for a submissive, she wants a slave!

As you would expect from a Cherise Sinclair book, Servicing The Target has a beautiful balance of hotter than hell sex, raw emotion, drama, love, lust and a healthy dose of humour. We also get to catch up with many other couples from the previous books, which I really enjoyed.  I want to see a bit more of Sam though please Cherise, the Shadowlands resident silver haired sadist remains at the top of my all time favourite book boyfriends list!  I really can't overstate how good this book is, it's a must read in my opinion. How many stars? Can you guess?! Surprise, surprise Servicing The Target gets five fabulous stars!  Please don't make us wait so long for our next visit to the Shadowlands Cherise!

Review 

If you're looking for something a bit different to read then Take Me To Church may be the book for you.  It is an interesting read with unique characters and a different take on the usual femdom novels.  It is dark in places, and a bit taboo - but I like dark and taboo, so that's ok.  I'll admit it took me a while to get used to the author's writing style and the 'voice' of the hero, but once I did I found it enjoyable.

There is a lot of good in this book - the characters are fascinating and have many layers to them, the storyline is interesting, and there are some very hot moments.  The problem that I had was with the ending because the story didn't feel finished.  I'm really hoping that there will be a second book to continue Clark's story.

Overall I enjoyed this book.  It is an intriguing read, completely different from anything I've read recently. Four stars.
