Review 

Wow! This book was so much better than I thought it would be! From the cover and blurb I was expecting a sexy BDSM story, but I didn't expect it to have much substance to it - well I was totally proved wrong! This is an amazing story of love and trust, full of emotion, suspense and passion. It's been a few days now since I finished this book and I've not been able to get it out of my head. Oh My God what an ending that was! 

As a larger lady myself I love it when heroines of books carry a few extra pounds - and I appreciate it even more when the hero loves each and every one of their woman's curves. Jackson really went out of his way to show Maggie just how sexy she was, and that he loved her exactly the way she was. Both Maggie and Jackson were fantastic characters. They had great chemistry and really belonged together.

This was such a brilliantly written book, I absolutely loved it. I'm struggling to find anything negative to say as to be honest I loved everything about it (except maybe the title, but that's being ultra picky). Chub Rub definitely receives five fabulous stars!

Sitting on the little, private loveseat at the back of the big bar area, nervous anticipation jangled through Mia. “So…about you being an asshole…”

Chuckling, Kyler took her hand and winked. “Yes, about that. I’m sorry, because I’d like to see you again.”

The room spun around her, despite the fact that she was sitting perfectly still. But then she shook her head. “I can’t afford it.” She’d received the offer of full membership, but between the cost and how she and Master Kyler had left things, she hadn’t even given it a second thought.

“I’m not talking about Blasphemy, Mia. Well, not just Blasphemy. I’m talking about me and you.” He traced his finger over her thigh close to her knee.

She shivered, as much from the touch as from the words. “Me and you,” she repeated.

“Sounds even better when you say it,” he said, leaning in and nuzzling her face. He kissed her temple, her cheek, the corner of her mouth. “I just need you to know, I don’t do this, Mia. Any of this. The growl he unleashed sounded like pure victory, especially when he quickly took over, plundering her mouth with his tongue, hauling her onto his lap so that she straddled him. He tugged her hair, rubbed hard hands over her body, pressed his erection up against her wet panties.

“Oh, God,” she rasped around the edge of the kiss.

Review 

Hard To Serve is a fabulous novella with equal parts romance and kink. It is hot and steamy but it also has great characters and a decent storyline to go with the sex and BDSM scenes. This book is part of a series, but works perfectly well as a standalone - I haven't read any of the other books but I followed the story with no problems. I believe this novella is a crossover book from a vanilla series to a new BDSM themed series revolving around the club that features in this book, so I'm looking forward to meeting some of the supporting characters in future books. This is the first book I've read by this author, but as I've just stated, I'll definitely be reading more as I loved her writing style and this book was totally addictive.

I really enjoyed the BDSM scenes, they were varied and a couple of them featured breath play which is not often included in romance stories like this. The breath play (choking to increase sexual pleasure) was fairly light and was done safely by a couple experienced in this type of play. Even if that is not your kink, please don't let it put you off as it's only a very small part of the story and you'd be missing out on a fantastic book - and personally I think it added a brilliantly gritty edge to an otherwise sweet story.

I loved the hero, Kyler, who is a super sexy cop - but the star of the show for me was the heroine. Mia is strong, hard working and great fun - she's someone I can imagine being friends with in real life. Their chemistry together is sizzling, they made a great couple - despite Kyler thinking that he's got nothing to offer in a relationship. Hard to Serve is fun, sexy story that I really enjoyed so it gets five big stars.
