"Come," he says, crooking his finger at me. I move to stand.

"Crawl, kitten. Crawl to me." 

I pause on all fours. He's being fucking serious. 

"I'm waiting." His eyes are cold, hard. 

I begin to crawl across the room, over the plush white rug and past the bed to the chair he's sitting in under the large circular window. The night sky is dotted with stars, and the moon is full and bright behind him. Once I reach him, I stare up on my hands and knees. He cracks a small smile. I want to spit on him. Then he leans forward and places a finger under my chin, forcing my face up to his. 

"That fire in your eyes will dim. I promise you, kitten. I know it’s hard to give up control. But I want you to understand house rules. Listen carefully, I'll only say this once. I tell you what to do, you say yes, Kayne. You will please me. End of story."

REVIEW

Owned is not a fluffy, hearts and flowers romance.  It's dark, it's raw, it's gritty, it's so hot you could get burnt and it's ...... absolutely fantastic!  This story drew me in from the first chapter, and kept me hooked until the end.  Now I really, really need to read the next book in this series as it ended on a cliffhanger and I have to know what happens next!

Ellie has lusted over her boss' client Kayne for months, and Kayne is equally as enamoured with Ellie.  She enjoys an evening with Kayne at a work party and agrees to go home with him - something she may come to regret.  Unfortunately Ellie has caught the attention of an evil contact of Kayne's, and unknown to her she is a grave danger. To save her Kayne ends up kidnapping and enslaving her, but of course Ellie doesn't know that he is doing this to protect her.

This is a dark Master/slave story with scenes that may make you uncomfortable.  As the story unravels the relationship between Ellie and her captor develops, and she can't understand how she feels about him.  The chemistry and connection between these two is undeniable and it makes for some seriously hot scenes.  

The emotions in this book are deep and complex.  This story grabbed me by the throat and at times had me in tears.  I loved that we had alternating points of view, so we knew what both our hero and heroine were feeling.  The big bang and twist near the end was explosive and exciting.  I just need to know what happens next now!  I feel really attached to these two characters, so I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.

I was really impressed with this book, the author has woven a powerful story which will have you gripped until the end.   Owned definitely gets five out of five stars.

Review

Twisted by Desire is Desiree A Cox's debut novel, and I must say I am impressed.  I really enjoyed this erotic romance which has an intriguing love triangle storyline.  Twisted by Desire is the first book in the Lust, Desire and Love trilogy, and it is a great start that has set up the story well for the next two books.  It is unpredictable, I can't tell yet which direction the characters will take, which is a nice change for books in this genre.

Nikki is still in love with her ex-husband, Sky, and the love and desire is mutual.  Things didn't work out between them as Sky struggles to keep a job and Nikki wanted more stability for her and their young daughter.  They now have a friends with benefits type arrangement, but Sky wants more.  Then Nikki meets Jeff and falls for him and the lifestyle he can offer her and her daughter Abby.  Her family and friends all think she's making a mistake being with Jeff - are they right?

It took me a while to connect with Abby, initially found her a bit shallow and annoying, but throughout the book I grew to like her.  She works hard to provide for her daughter, and simply wants what's best for her.  I really like Sky - yes he may have had problems staying in a job, but he loves Nikki and is a great father.  Now Jeff is a different matter - I really don't like him and I can't understand why Nikki trusts him.  I can't work out what his secrets are, and if he really is working when he is away so often, but I'm hoping we find out in the next book.

This ended on a cliffhanger so I am eager to start reading the next book.  Twisted by Desire is a good read and a promising start to the series.  This book gets four out of five stars.

Review 

I really enjoyed this book - it's a good easy read with fun, likable lead characters and lots of sexy times.  It has a nice amount of suspense to go with the romance storyline, and it all comes together to create a great book.  This is the first book I've read by Erika Wilde, but I would definitely read more.  I liked her writing style - dialogue flowed nicely and the storyline was well constructed.

Logan is smokin' hot - a gorgeous ex-military alpha male - and you can't help but fall in love with him.  He's kinky, sexy, dominant, protective and an all round great guy.  Raina owns an adult toy store and has worked hard to get where she is today.  Strong, feisty, fun and sexy, she is a great girl who I would definitely like to be friends with.  Raina has been hurt in the past and is often unfairly judged due to the nature of her business, so she is frightened of being hurt again.

The sexual chemistry between these two is hot, hot, hot.  The sex scenes are steamy, with a nice amount of kink.  There are some BDSM elements and these are quite light and ultra sexy.  

Playing With Temptation is a great book with a good romantic storyline, some suspense and lots of steamy loving.  This is the first book in a series and I can't wait to read the next couples' story.  Playing with Temptation gets five out of five stars.

Wow!  There just aren't enough words in the English language to describe how good this book is.  Fantastic, fabulous, brilliant, amazing, wonderful, stupendous - Stanton Adore is all those and more, one of the best books I've read for a long time.  With a cast of great characters, Stanton Adore is full of twists and turns that will keep you hooked until the end.  And what an end - talk about a cliffhanger!  I can't wait to read the next book by this truly talented author.

Natasha and Joshua fell in love as teenagers, but their love was forbidden as they are first cousins.  Several years later they meet again at a family wedding and an affair filled with emotion, passion and angst begins.  This book is very hot and steamy, but it has far more to it than erotica. It is a realistic, deep story with many layers.

I really liked both Natasha and Joshua.  We get both of their points of view, and you really feel like you know them.  This book also has a great cast of supporting characters.  I loved Adrian, and Natasha's friend Abbie.  Joshua's brothers are all pretty hot too!

This really is an amazing book and I urge you all to buy it.  It's worth every penny!  I will definitely be looking at the next book in the series as I have to know what happens next - this story is addictive!  Stanton Adore gets five big stars!

The Medic of Brighton Creek is a sweetly sexy romance with a domestic discipline theme.  It is a good, easy read and is ideal to relax with at the end of a busy day.  There is a big age difference between the hero and heroine, and I enjoyed the hunky, older man keeping our sometimes bratty heroine in line.  This is an enjoyable book with steamy scenes and lots of sexy spankings.

Mikayla has had deep feelings for Sam since she was a teenager, but he is much older than her and obstacles have kept them apart.  When they meet again the sparks fly and the chemistry between them is off the charts.  Sam, along with most of the men in this town, is dominant and keeps his partner on the straight and narrow with a sound spanking.  I love domestic discipline stories where the spankings are dealt out with a fair, loving hand to keep the heroine safe and happy, and this is no exception.  

Medic Sam is caring, gorgeous, clever and oh so sexy.  I really liked him and the way that he dealt with 

Mikayla.  It took me a while to take to Mikayla, as I found her a bit annoying, which is why I've given four stars not five.  She is very insecure and often acts up to get Sam's attention.  At times I found her just a bit too bratty, at other times I found her to be fun and likable.  Sam definitely has more patience than me, I don't think I could have coped with her contrary moods, but it just showed how much he loved his girl.  

Overall this is a good book which fans of spankings and sexy, dominant older men should enjoy.  The Medic of Brighton Creek gets four out of five stars.

Spice is such a fun book!  Freelance blogger Jess has a list of different kinks to try every day - is it possible to go from vanilla to kinky in just 14 days? It is such a great idea for a book, I haven't read anything like it before.  As the title suggests, this book is fabulously spicy, and is hot, hot, hot!  Scarlet Smith has done a great job with this novella, I enjoyed her writing style and flashes of humour - and she definitely knows how to write a good sex scene!

This was such a sexy book, with a big variety of sexual adventures.  Jess' list covered almost every kink you could think of, and Jess and Max gave most of them a good go!  There was one though that I was very glad they decided wasn't for them!  The sex scenes were sensual, believable and oh so hot - fab!  I especially liked the role playing scenes, and appreciated the imagination and effort that went into them.

I loved both Jess and Max - they were both so sexy, adventurous and enthusiastic (especially Max!).  I would have liked to know a bit more about them, but we knew enough to make this story work.  There was emotion towards the end of the book which took the story to another level, giving it more of a realistic feel.  I absolutely loved the ending for this fabulous pair.

If you are looking for a short, sexy, easy read then Spice is definitely for you.  I enjoyed reading this story and I will be looking out for more books by this author. Spice gets four sexy, spicy stars.
