                                                       Synopsis

Their bond is heaven on earth...but it could tear their pack apart.

Ethan Jager is forced to hide behind a false identity as his pack mates suffer under Michael Tanner's rule. It's not his choice; he was born broken, without the primitive urge to breed driving him to pick a mate. While his wolf sleeps, his heart has chosen for him: Noah, widower and fellow pack dominant. Everything changes the day Hannah Kagan smiles at him. Lust awakens his wolf--a first. Hannah is beautiful, loyal, kind, everything an alpha male should want. And mating her will allow him to reclaim his pack. It will also leave his soul with a giant hole when he's forced to rip Noah out of his life. Hard choices are required of alpha males, but choosing which lover to let go is one Ethan refuses to make. The alternative will not only change the pack, but transform their world...if he can keep his mates alive long enough to claim them both.

Warning: Contains an alpha male whose wolf doesn't like to share his toys, a dominant female who's nobody's plaything, and a beta male who doesn't roll over for anyone. Also: speed dating, werewolf style. Band-Aids required

“Are you done imagining what I would look like naked, or do you want me to stand here longer?” His rough voice zinged through her, setting her on edge. Not in a bad way. Awareness settled low. She ignored the instant arousal and yanked her gaze to his face. Green eyes framed by dark lashes snared her attention. She inhaled sharply. Never before had she seen a shifter with green eyes. The rare gene offered power, just as the combination of her black hair and blue eyes gifted her with strength. She let her gaze map his face as she had his body. Dark blond hair set off the deep emerald color of his eyes and framed a harsh face, but his shaggy locks softened his features. She doubted he’d styled it on purpose for the effect. The uneven ends gave the impression he’d hacked it off with scissors and didn’t give a shit if it looked nice or not. The shadow of his beard added to the image of indifference. The uneven growth covered his cheeks, chin, and neck. Her fingertips itched to touch his jaw and see if the stubble had reached the point of softness or if it would tickle her skin and make her squirm. She curled her fingers and fought to contain her runaway thoughts. They weren’t appropriate, especially after being in Ethan’s arms. She swore she could still smell him on her skin. The Tanner wolf chuckled, breaking the trance he’d cast over her. She tore her attention from the cleft in his chin to his eyes. “Hello, little Hannah Kagan. What brings you to this shithole town?” She took a step forward, anger replacing the lust. “Don’t ever call me little.” The growl to her voice shocked her. It took the Tanner wolf by surprise too. His smirk faded instantly, and his cocky stance eased. He tilted his head and studied her as if seeing her for the first time. Something flashed in his green eyes. Respect, maybe? She didn’t know. Didn’t care. She took another step. “And why I’m here is none of your fucking

Shared for Love is an exciting shifter ménage romance that had me on the edge of my seat. It took me a chapter or so to get into the story and work out who was who, but after that I was totally hooked.  I've only recently started to read paranormal romances, and I'm still very hit and miss with them - I either love them or hate them, and this book falls firmly onto the love side of things.  This is book two in the Kagan Wolves series, but it can be read as a standalone. There is a bit of everything in this story - love, emotion, danger, intrigue, passion, suspense and some scorching hot love scenes. The storyline is exciting with many twists and turns and the main characters are complex and well developed.

Ethan is a dominant in the Tanner pack who are suffering under the rule of Michael Tanner. Ethan longs to challenge Michael and take his rightful place as alpha, but in order to do this he needs a strong mate to support him and have his children. The problem is that he's never been able to mate a female, in fact he's only ever been able to mate one person - his long time lover Noah. That changes when he meets Hannah and his wolf declares his desire for her. But to be able to claim Hannah and protect his pack, he will have to give up the man he loves - or is there another, more controversial solution that will enable him to keep both of the people he loves in his life?

I loved Hannah, she's a fabulous character - she's sexy, fun, feisty, strong and goes after what (or who) she wants. The chemistry between her and the two men was sizzling, they nearly set my kindle on fire! I loved the supporting characters in this book too, and I look forward to finding out more about them in future books. I'm very intrigued by Maria's situation so I'm hoping we won't have to wait long for her story. I'm very impressed by this author and the world she's created, I'll definitely be reading more of her books. Shared for Love receives five big stars.

A true romantic at heart, Nancy Corrigan is convinced there’s a knight in shining armor for every woman (or man), but you won’t find damsels in distress in her stories. She adores pairing alpha heroes with women strong enough to match them and bring them to their knees. She also enjoys flipping the traditional roles in romances because her motto is—love and people should never be forced to conform to anyone’s norm. She holds a degree in chemistry and has worked in research but now focuses on ensuring quality. She considers it the perfect outlet for her as she’s the first to admit she has some OCD tendencies. It carries over into her writing life too. While engrossed in a novel, she has a habit of forgetting to eat and sleep. Fortunately, she’s married to her own knight in shining armor who understands her oddities and loves her anyway. They reside in Pennsylvania with their three children, dog, snake and guinea pigs. Her other interests include tattoos, animals, classic cars and all things spooky and sexy.

Synopsis

Graham's had it with Alphas. His experiences with them have been disastrous at best. Even with ones that didn't tumble him into the nearest bed. So when the chance to move in with another Omega comes up, Graham grabs it. But Graham's never seen an Omega so big. Plus, he seems to be able to push buttons only an Alpha has. However, trust is something that comes easily to Graham. Hyden says nothing about being an Alpha – so he must not be. Right?

Hyden has just met his fated mate - in the middle of a territorial war. Not the best timing. But now that Graham's here, Hyden can hardly let the little pup escape, which is what he will do if he finds out Hyden is not only an Alpha but the Alpha. With the Mating Moon scant days away how will Hyden convince the smaller Graham that not all Alphas are selfish bastards? And he's going to have to, because blood fever will not be ignored and Hyden can already feel it taking over his senses. Once it does, there will be no turning back. Hyden might have to resort to handcuffing the pup in order to make sure he doesn't bolt off into the night. Hmmm. Not a bad thought. He might have to do that anyway…

Excerpt

Stupid, clueless little pup. Hyden pushed away from the door he had just closed, leaving Graham behind, and forced himself to walk into the living room. If he didn’t, he was sure he would slam that door back open, rip those boxers off the man, and take him right there on the cold hardwood floor.

Why now? Why did his fated mate have to show up now? Fuck, the smell of the man. He had never before experienced anything like it. And for the pup to be ignorant of Hyden's Alpha status was absolutely crazy. But Hyden knew, due to the strong scent of terror rolling off the smaller man when he had even spoken the word Alpha, his mate would bolt if he learned that Hyden was indeed not only an Alpha but theAlpha.

The Solfang Pack was the dominant pack in the city, and it was odd Graham hadn’t heard of it. And the last thing Hyden was capable of doing was outright lying to his fated mate. He could, and was going to have to, hide some of the truth. But lying was not something he was going to want to do. Even now, with the subterfuge he was planning, he was skating on ground that would have him in high water to his eyebrows with one false step.

The timing of this sucked. He was just now moving into supreme power, and to be sidetracked by a naïve little pup was definitely going to be a problem. But he sure as hell wasn’t going to be able to let Graham slip away from him either. Hyden wasn’t the one who placed the ad in the paper, but if Graham needed to rent a room, he would rent it from him. And if Graham needed to believe Hyden was an Omega, then that’s what Hyden was going to have to be for a while. At least until he could convince the pup they were mates.

Except it was a little over two weeks to the Mating Moon.

Was that going to be enough time for him to get Graham to understand what was happening? Because he would not be able to hold back when that moon hit. He was barely able to keep his wolf at bay the way it was. Snapping and growling at him already, his animal was clawing to get out and at the pup.

He heard a noise behind him, and he turned.

There he was. Beautiful and innocent. Maybe not virginal. That was fine. But he was in no way going to allow Graham to be physical with anyone else from now on. “Feeling better?” The sweatpants and top he had given the man were very obviously too big. They belonged to his sister, who was no small thing herself.

“Yes. Thank you.”

He had pushed up the sleeves and rolled up the pant legs. He looked absolutely adorable.

And fuckable.

Hyden wanted to touch the hot skin beneath that fabric.

But he would have to wait. Shit. The beautiful man was talking to him, and he'd missed it.

“I’m sorry, Graham. What did you say?”

“I asked… what… what is the price? I think the paper was wrong. I think it was a typo or something because…”

“Come. Let’s sit down.” It would be easier for him to hide his reaction to this man if they sat. Hydenwalked over to one of the white couches. He truly desired for Graham to sit at his feet, to keep him near, and almost commanded him to do so but was able to keep his mouth shut. The gorgeous man sat opposite him on the other couch. Damn it. So far away.

Oh, he was so timid. He sat perched at the end, looking ready to run at the slightest thing. Did he suspect? He should. How Hyden was going to keep from Graham what he was, he wasn’t sure, but at the very least, he was going to have to hide his extreme attraction. And his overpowering need to command the man to bend over for him. Right now.

He swallowed hard. Keep on task, or you will lose him. “What did the ad say?”

“It said two hundred dollars a month. But I know that can’t be right.”

“Two hundred a month is fine.”

“What? But…”

“Two hundred a month is the price. Do you want it?”

“Oh yes! Yes, please.”

Damn. The word please coming from those lips… Lips Hyden wanted wrapped around his cock. “Good. When can we move you in?”

“Today? Is today too soon?”

Today. Relief swept through Hyden. He would soon have the pup under his roof and his protection. No mistakes. He could make no mistakes. “No. Not at all. Where is your stuff?”

“In Tenway Park. In the Mercury building. I live on the tenth floor. It’s… not like this. I don’t know if you know anything about Tenway Park. I – it’s kind of slummy.”

Tenway Park. Damn. It totally figured he would be coming from the inner city. The wolves in that district rejected any kind of pack authority, had long ago abolished packs altogether. He understood the payoffs. Alphas running amok with no self-discipline, fucking everything in their path, not to mention the fact crime was a way of life. The only rule: don’t get caught. And even then, if you had money and power, getting caught simply meant you gained more influence and notoriety. Having to submit to a pack would stop all such behavior. Hyden’s Betas had been slowly infiltrating the area and bringing back much needed information. At some point, Hyden would take over the zone, and he needed to know who were going to be the ones he would have to defeat in order to do it. Just the knowledge that this was where his Graham had been living made him shiver.

Review
I really enjoyed this m/m shifter romance. It's fairly short, but it still made an impression on me. I really liked both characters - Graham, the submissive omega wolf, was a real sweetheart and the Alpha wolf, Hyden, was so hot. I enjoyed the dynamic between Graham and Hyden, they had great chemistry together.  The BDSM scenes were brilliant, I found them to be very sexy and well written.

Graham was very, very naive but I found this quite endearing. He is the perfect match for Hyden who was one hundred percent alpha male. The storyline was detailed enough to keep my attention from start to finish, I couldn't put this book down. I would have liked it to be slightly longer though, as the ending felt a bit unfinished. An epilogue would have helped, as I really wanted to know what happened next. Overall I enjoyed this sweet but spicy story so it receives four out of five stars.

Hurri Cosmo lives in Minnesota where she holds tight to the idea that there, where it’s cold a good part of the year, she won’t age as fast. Yep, she avoids the truth as much as she avoids mirrors. But one of the reasons she loves writing is reality doesn’t always offer up a “happily ever after” and being able to take control of that is a powerful lure. Being a happy ending junkie, writing just makes them easier to find. Oh, she doesn’t mind “real life” and she does try to at least keep it in mind when she writes her stories, but she truly loves creating a wonderful couple, knowing they will fall in love and have their HEA. Every - single - time. And, of course, that is exactly the reason she loves reading this genre, too. Give her a glass of red wine, some dark chocolate, and her computer, whether she is reading or writing, and she will entertain herself for hours. The fact she actually gets paid to do it is Snickers bars on the frosting on the cake.

When she took a short rest on the floor of her cubicle while working late, the last thing Ashley Bell expected was to wake up with the company's notoriously hard-assed owner and CEO, Ben Stone, standing over her. The offer of a ride home is a bigger surprise, but the biggest shock of all comes when Ben asks her to work for him as his personal assistant.

Despite some misgivings about his intentions, Ashley accepts the position, but she has barely started the job when a phone call turns her life on its head. Her twin sister has been kidnapped, and the price for her life is Ashley's help in a secret plot to destroy Ben's company. But she soon discovers that Ben has a far more terrifying secret of his own.

When her life is threatened by his enemies he casts aside caution and fights with the rage of a beast defending his mate. Review
Regular readers of my blog will know that I'm not a huge fan of paranormal or shifter romances, but this one from Renee Rose gets a thumbs up. The Alpha's Hunger is exciting, suspenseful and oh so sexy. This is the second book I've read by this author, and boy oh boy can she write a hot spanking scene! The storyline is interesting and flows well, and the characters have a lot of depth to them.

The hero Ben is an alpha wolf, and he's a brilliant character - dominant, protective and as hot as hell. The heroine, Ashley, is a great character too, I really liked her. Ashley's not a shifter, she's human, so when they fall for each other it causes some interesting problems. Love between a wolf male and a human female is never going to be easy!

The Alpha's Hunger is an enjoyable read, so it receives four out of five stars.

Book review - Eventide of the Bear by Cherise Sinclair(paranormalménage) 5 stars

Eventide of the Bear by Cherise Sinclair
Paranormal M/F/M ménage romance
5/5 stars

Blurb

She risked her life to save a human child. Pain was her reward.

All her life, Emma longed for someone to love. Instead, disaster sees the brand-new bard banished from her people for long lonely years. Injured saving a child, the werebear has to steal food from humans, breaking shifter Law. The territory’s Cosantir and his lethal grizzly warrior catch her in the act. To her surprise, she’s healed and welcomed. Obviously, they don’t know her past. But oh, she can’t resist being around other shifters—especially the captivatingly powerful warrior. Maybe she can stay…just a little while.

As a grizzly warrior, Ben is ordered to house the pretty werebear until she heals. His littermate abandoned him, his home is empty, and he’s been alone for a long time. Intelligent and sweet and lushly curved, Emma is a delight…even if she is oddly reticent about her past. Although having sworn off females, he’s sorely tempted by this one. Damned if he doesn’t want to keep her, secrets or not.

Females were trouble. Years past, one split Ryder from his littermate. Now the panther shifter is returning to Ben, bringing his cub with him, a four-year-old he stole from the abusive female. To Ryder’s annoyance, his brother is sheltering a wounded bear. A female. Even worse, she’s beautiful and gentle and loving—damned if he’s going to fall for that act again. But when the dark of the moon arrives and death reigns supreme, he’ll discover that not all females are alike.

In a world filled with hellhounds and pixies, can three lonely shifters and one silent cub create a new family together?

Review

Cherise Sinclair is one of my favourite authors and I'm a huge fan of her Masters of the Shadowlands and Mountain Masters series, but somehow I've managed to miss reading any of her Wild Hunt Legacy books. So when I was offered the chance to read book three in the series, Eventide of the Bear, I jumped at the chance. Shifter romances are very hit or miss for me, but I should have known that anything penned by Ms Sinclair would be a big hit. This is an absolutely awesome book, I loved it so much that I didn't want it to end.

Emma is a werebear who's been banished by her clan and forced to live in the wild. She's seriously injured while saving a human child and then caught stealing food from humans. Expecting to be severely punished by the territory's Consantir for breaking shifter law, she's shocked when she's healed and welcomed by these strangers. Lonely grizzly warrior Ben is ordered to house and care for Emma, an order he's very happy to carry out. His litter mate, Ryder, abandoned him years earlier for a female and since then his home has felt very empty. When Ryder unexpectedly returns with a cub he is welcomed by Ben, but Ryder's surprised to find a woman sharing his house. After a bad experience with a conniving female he doesn't trust Emma and makes his feelings known. Can these three lonely shifters make a life together despite Emma's secrets and Ryder's mistrust?

All three characters have a great depth to them and as a result I really felt involved in their lives and I cared about their happiness. Emma was my favourite character, she is so strong, brave and caring. I also really loved the developing relationship between Emma and Ryder's child, it was heartwarming to witness. The storyline is strong and has many layers, it had me hooked right from the first page. This is a fabulous book that I really recommend for fans of ménage and shifter romances. Eventide of the Bear receives five big stars!

Review
Wow! What a climax to Bash and Angelica's story! I devoured this book as quickly as humanly possible, it was amazing. There were lots of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, it is such an exciting story. Full of suspense, danger, emotion and heat, it is a book that I couldn't put down. The BDSM is a lot more intense in this book - there is a raw passion in the scenes that had my pulse racing and my temperature rising.

This book picks up right where the last book ended, with Angelica being kidnapped by a rival MC! We're led on whirlwind adventure as Angelica tries to escape, while Bash and the MC try to rescue her. What happens next will change their lives - so buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

This triolgy is expertly written and is a must read for me. There is so much going on with many layers to the story - there's no chance of the reader getting bored of this book! Bash vol III definitely gets five fabulous stars!

Interview with Candace Blevins

What is for you the perfect book hero?

I don’t think there’s a single description. I’ve fallen in love with good guys, bad guys, antiheros… I need them to be honest, but otherwise, I’m not sure you can put the perfect hero into a tidy little box.

When you start a book, do you already have the whole story in your head or is it built progressively?

In the beginning I was a total pantser. Now, I’m kind of a hybrid pantser/planner. I know my characters inside and out before I start, and I know their backstories, as well as the main events of the book, and the basic ending. However, if I do much more than that, my muse gets bored. She often takes the stories in directions I hadn’t intended. We end up at the same ending, but there are often several fun detours, along the way.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?

When I got my first decently-sized royalty check.

I used to juggle professionally, and I didn’t consider myself a “professional” juggler until I made a good bit of money doing so, as well. For some, the fact they write everyday makes them a writer, and that’s fine for other people, but it wasn’t real for me until I was holding a check.
