She risked her life to save a human child. Pain was her reward.
All her life, Emma longed for someone to love. Instead, disaster sees the brand-new bard banished from her people for long lonely years. Injured saving a child, the werebear has to steal food from humans, breaking shifter Law. The territory’s Cosantir and his lethal grizzly warrior catch her in the act. To her surprise, she’s healed and welcomed. Obviously, they don’t know her past. But oh, she can’t resist being around other shifters—especially the captivatingly powerful warrior. Maybe she can stay…just a little while.
As a grizzly warrior, Ben is ordered to house the pretty werebear until she heals. His littermate abandoned him, his home is empty, and he’s been alone for a long time. Intelligent and sweet and lushly curved, Emma is a delight…even if she is oddly reticent about her past. Although having sworn off females, he’s sorely tempted by this one. Damned if he doesn’t want to keep her, secrets or not.
Females were trouble. Years past, one split Ryder from his littermate. Now the panther shifter is returning to Ben, bringing his cub with him, a four-year-old he stole from the abusive female. To Ryder’s annoyance, his brother is sheltering a wounded bear. A female. Even worse, she’s beautiful and gentle and loving—damned if he’s going to fall for that act again. But when the dark of the moon arrives and death reigns supreme, he’ll discover that not all females are alike.

Review
Cherise Sinclair is one of my favourite authors and I'm a huge fan of her Masters of the Shadowlands and Mountain Masters series, but somehow I've managed to miss reading any of her Wild Hunt Legacy books. So when I was offered the chance to read book three in the series, Eventide of the Bear, I jumped at the chance. Shifter romances are very hit or miss for me, but I should have known that anything penned by Ms Sinclair would be a big hit. This is an absolutely awesome book, I loved it so much that I didn't want it to end.
Emma is a werebear who's been banished by her clan and forced to live in the wild. She's seriously injured while saving a human child and then caught stealing food from humans. Expecting to be severely punished by the territory's Consantir for breaking shifter law, she's shocked when she's healed and welcomed by these strangers. Lonely grizzly warrior Ben is ordered to house and care for Emma, an order he's very happy to carry out. His litter mate, Ryder, abandoned him years earlier for a female and since then his home has felt very empty. When Ryder unexpectedly returns with a cub he is welcomed by Ben, but Ryder's surprised to find a woman sharing his house. After a bad experience with a conniving female he doesn't trust Emma and makes his feelings known. Can these three lonely shifters make a life together despite Emma's secrets and Ryder's mistrust?
All three characters have a great depth to them and as a result I really felt involved in their lives and I cared about their happiness. Emma was my favourite character, she is so strong, brave and caring. I also really loved the developing relationship between Emma and Ryder's child, it was heartwarming to witness. The storyline is strong and has many layers, it had me hooked right from the first page. This is a fabulous book that I really recommend for fans of ménage and shifter romances. Eventide of the Bear receives five big stars!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
