The Sexy Six-Pack is back!
Retired Navy SEAL, Marco DeAngelis is now an operative at Trident Security. He’s also a Dominant in the BDSM lifestyle. After a neglected childhood, he is determined to stay single and childless for the rest of his life. But unbeknownst to him, one night of shared grief and comfort with his deceased sister’s best friend changes that forever.
Harper Williams had always found her best friend’s brother attractive and the more she got to know him, the more she liked him. But Marco has made it perfectly clear a wife and children aren’t for him, even if he no longer has a say in the latter. If he didn’t want to be involved in his child’s life, then that was his problem.
When Harper is left unconscious after a violent home invasion, the two are thrown back together and become embroiled in a web of lies and deceit of someone else’s making. Will they lose their baby…and their lives?

Review
Once again Ms Cole has blown me away with an outstanding book. Samantha Cole is in my top 3 favourite authors list (along with Lexi Blake and Cherise Sinclair) and she never disappoints. Watching from the Shadows is another fantastic story starring the Sexy Six Pack of Trident Security. Like the other books in this series it has a gripping suspense plot combined with a sexy, romantic storyline which make this a book that is tough to put down. The BDSM scenes are really well written, realistic, varied and are as hot as hell.
Marco and Harper ended up spending a passionate night together while they were both grieving for Marco's sister who was Harper's best friend. Harper has had feelings for Marco for a long time, but he has been quite vocal in saying that he doesn't want marriage or children, so she knew nothing long term would happen between them. Several months later Marco is shocked to discover that he has a baby, and he's forced to step up when Harper and the baby are in danger.
Before I read this book I didn't feel that I knew Marco that well, so I was curious to discover what he was like. Like the rest of his team he is fiercely loyal to his friends, always looks out for those in need, he's protective and dominant. He had a tough childhood which led to his reluctance to be a father himself, but he really does have a good heart and he'd make a great Dad. Harper was a great character too, I really liked her. The storyline was exciting, fast moving and totally gripping. There was also plenty of romance, emotion, humour and sexy times. Watching from the Shadows is an awesome book that I wholeheartedly recommend. Five stars!
I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest review.
