Bound to Surrender is a fabulous novella from Jenna Jacob's The Doms of Genesis series. It stars my favourite characters from the series, Trevor and Daddy Drake - I was so excited when I found out that they finally had their own book! This book is so emotional, I frequently had tears running down my face. But this is very well balanced with humour, romance and some very hot bedroom scenes. As with all of the books in this series, the characters are very well developed and well rounded - I really felt like I knew the characters and that I was involved in their lives.
Trevor was the victim of a brutal hate crime, and in the past couple of books we've seen him and his partner and Dom, Moses (aka Daddy Drake) struggle to cope with the aftermath of the attack. Trevor is no longer the vibrant, happy man we all know and love - that man is buried under his demons and fears. Drake desperately wants to help the man he loves, but he feels totally useless as there's nothing that he can do. Can Trevor be happy again? And can Trevor and Drake's relationship survive?
I love Trevor and Daddy Drake so much! They are total opposites, but their personalities really complement each other and they are a great couple. We've known the couple for a while now as they feature in the other books in this series, but it was fabulous to get to know them better and to get an insight into their thoughts and feelings. This is an absolutely brilliant book, I wholeheartedly recommend it - five stars!
