Review
This is the first book that I've read by this author, but I will definitely be reading more. I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but I was really impressed by the storyline and Sawyer Bennett's writing style. The characters were three dimensional, with a lot of depth to them. Both the hero and the heroine were likable and easy to connect with. The is the second book in the Wicked Horse series, I haven't read the first book but I had no problems following the story.
Cain is an ex marine now working as head of security at the Wicked Horse. One of his main jobs is to protect the secret sex club that is based at the Wicked Horse. Journalist Sloane Preston has been tasked by her boss to find out the Wicked Horse's secrets and to find a way to link them to a prominent politician. She is instantly attracted to Cain and thinks he will be a good way of getting an 'in' to the club. But as the pair grow closer loyalties are tested and hearts are in danger of being broken.
Woah! This book was so hot! The sex scenes are raw, filthy and so, so passionate - Cain and Sloane's chemistry is electric. I liked both characters, especially Cain, he was a fantastic hero. The storyline was very interesting and kept my attention from start to finish. I enjoyed reading about Sloane's dilemma, she had difficult decisions to make and the author gave us a great insight to her emotions and thought process. I highly recommend this book - five stars!
