Light BDSM romance
What if Cinderella didn't want to marry the Prince? And what if she discovered that a man who was in control of his public life enjoyed surrendering that control in the bedroom?
Mariella needs a husband to gain freedom from her stepfamily.
Teodor needs a wife to keep his crown.
When they meet at the balls, Teodor is captivated by Mariella’s, intelligence, humor and sexual openness. Thrilled to have found a woman he could see spending his life with, he proposes, only to have Mariella turn him down.
Mariella has been trapped in one bad situation and refuses to exchange it for another. Still, Teodor intrigues her, so she offers a proposal of her own that will allow her dominate him and to enjoy him in her bed while keeping him out of her heart.
Unbeknownst to them, there is another who wants Teodor's crown and will stop at nothing - not even murder - to get it. Happy ever after is never really as easy as wishing for it.
Try on this glass slipper of a femdom Cinderella tale!
The Glass Stiletto is an adult version of the classic fairytale Cinderella, with a little bit of BDSM thrown in to spice things up. This is the first erotic fairytale I read and I wasn't 100% sure if I would like it, but I have to say it was a fun, lighthearted book that I enjoyed reading. It was pure escapism and a delight to read. Featuring a strong heroine who is determined to escape from her stepmother and cruel stepsisters, it is a romantic story that manages to be both sweet and spicy.
Mariella is husband hunting at the Royal balls, which Prince Teodor is hosting so he can search for his future wife. When they meet Teodor instantly falls for feisty Mariella, but she definitely doesn't want to be involved with a Prince. I enjoyed the couples meetings at the Royal balls and Teodor's subsequent search to find Mariella after she flees from the last ball leaving one of her glass slippers behind. Yes it isn't entirely believable, but this is a fairytale and they are meant to be fun and magical. Of course, as with all good fairytales, there is a villain who is determined to ensure that our hero and heroine don't get their happily ever after.
The Glass Stiletto is billed as a 'BDSM fairytale', but the BDSM content is very light and personally I'd have liked the author to take it further, but this is purely my personal preference. The BDSM scenes are mainly bondage (no impact play at all) so it makes it ideal for readers who prefer milder scenes and those new to the genre. The sex scenes are very sensual and steamy but are also very loving. Mariella and Teodor's chemistry is hot, and I loved how Mariella took charge in the bedroom as much for Teodor's benefit as for hers.
Overall I enjoyed this fun, sexy take on a classic fairytale and give it four out of five stars.
