Loving Maddie From A To Z

Award-winning photojournalist Zack Donovan is happy to be alive after being held captive by a band of rebels in Syria. He's not so happy to be on his way back to Chicago to recuperate with his college friends Maddie and Aidan, who are now a couple. The fear while being held prisoner was nothing compared to how he feels about facing the two people who unknowingly broke his heart seven years ago.

Maddie and Aidan are deeply in love, but lately they feel something is missing for them. They'd do anything to make the other happy, but are struggling to figure out what that is. Those problems are set aside, however, when their best friend from college is taken hostage in Syria. After graduation, Maddie and Aidan were hurt by Zack's refusal to ever come home to visit, but he's still their friend and he has no family, so when he's finally free they insist he come stay with them to recover.

Zack's a different man now. He's seen terrible things. He's come to terms with his sexuality and embraced his need to dominate. Maddie and Aidan would be shocked to know the kinds of things he likes to do. A guy like him will never have a relationship like theirs. But when Zack realizes he might be able to show Maddie and Aidan what they're missing, he faces a dilemma. Do something? Do nothing? Pretend everything's fine? Help them if he can? But will showing them what they're missing help save their relationship...or destroy it?

Aidan could only feel the tension increasing in Maddie’s body, her fingers tightening around his. He planted his feet, still in shiny black dress shoes, more firmly into the floor, holding her up as she came, soft cries surrounding them, her legs shaking.

Fuck. Sensation sizzled up his spine to his brain. His heart thudded wildly, and his balls grew tighter at the base of his throbbing cock.

Zack massaged her legs, up and down, up and down, sitting back on his heels. Aidan watched him lick his lips, studying Maddie’s pussy. Aidan was struck by the gentleness of Zack’s touch even as he emanated power and command.

“So beautiful,” Zack murmured. “Good girl.”

Maddie made a sound almost like a sob. Aidan’s gaze shot to her face. Was she okay? She knew how to stop things. Don’t stop things. Selfishly, he wanted to know what came next in this scene they were acting out in front of the mirror. She met his eyes, hers heavy, her smile slow. She was okay.

Zack stood in a graceful push to his feet. Aidan’s heart skipped a beat as Zack moved again to face him. “Want to taste Maddie?” Zack whispered. He gripped Aidan’s chin. For a moment their eyes met and clashed. Forbidden heat ripped through Aidan as he waited, helpless. Then Zack leaned in and brushed his mouth over his.

Fuck. Aidan’s eyes closed. He sank into the brief sensation. Zack pulled back, eyes blazing and knowing. Aidan licked his tongue over his bottom lip, tasting Maddie…and Zack.

“Very good,” Zack praised him softly.

Maddie moaned behind him.

Then Zack caressed him too, his shoulders through the suit jacket, his chest, his abs beneath the thin dress shirt. Zack’s hands bumped over the ropes and then lower to the bulge of his dick. He rubbed him with firm strokes, over his cock, sliding lower to squeeze his balls. Aidan gasped, lust punching through his stomach. Zack looked up from where his hand cupped him to hold his gaze.

Thoughts bounced around in Aidan’s head. A dark hunger grew in him, heat rushing through his body so hot he felt he could set his clothes on fire. He glanced at the mirror and saw Maddie watching with an equally hot and hungry look on her face, but also a hint of concern.

Was she worried Zack was making him do things he didn’t want? She had to know he could put a stop to it at any time with one word.

He didn’t.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book!  Loving Maddie from A to Z is a MMF ménage romance that is a pure delight to read.  It is an emotional, beautifully written book about a couple that feels something is missing in their relationship, and a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who could be the missing element that their relationship needs.

Maddie, Aidan and Zack were best friends in college but Zack moved away when his heart was broken by the two people he loved becoming a couple.  Zack travelled the world becoming a successful journalist reporting in war zones and other dangerous situations.  Seven years later Zack is held captive in Syria, and when he's finally free it's Maddie and Aidan who are there for him and invite him to stay with them.  Maddie and Aidan love each other dearly but there is something missing in their relationship and Zack thinks he knows what this is.  Zack is a Dom and thinks he can help the couple - but can his risk their friendship? And will he get his heart broken again?

This is such a wonderful, thoughtful, poignant story of love between three people.  The feelings and emotions between them are deep and complex, and it was fascinating to see their relationship evolve.  Zack is also recovering from his captivity and has to deal with the emotions this has left him with, and has to make plans for the future.  This story has many layers which are woven together beautifully by the author.

There are some seriously hot scenes in this book.  I loved the chemistry between all three of the main characters.  The BDSM scenes are sensual and sexy and Zack is a fabulous Dom - caring, intense and so, so hot.

Loving Maddie from A to Z is a wonderful book that I loved reading.  It's full of love, emotional and sizzling hot sexual chemistry.  This book definitely gets five out of five stars.
