Book review - Must Love Cakes by Virginia Nelson (ménage romance) 4/5stars

Must Love Cakes by Virginia Nelson
MFM ménage romance
4/5 stars

Synopsis

When two delicious men are on the menu, skip the appetizer and go straight to dessert.
Watkin’s Pond, Book 3

Carolyn Bannister lives the sweet life as co-owner and operator of a bakery with her two best friends. Small towns being what they are, though, she finds herself at a party one night, slinging back shots while trying to ignore the woman wrapped around her ex.

Grady Brooks and Ben Shipman have always taken care of their longtime buddy, and tonight is no different. Though they’ve shared women in the past, they never considered getting sexually involved with Carrie—at least not out loud. Why not get back at her douche of an ex by playing into the longtime rumors about the three of them being involved in a relationship?
Any initial hesitation goes up in smoke when faked kisses get all too real. Though they break apart, everything has changed. Now neither Grady nor Ben can pretend they don’t want the one woman they’ve always loved.

But in this gossip-ridden town, it’s not as if the three of them can openly date. Or…can they?
Warning: Contains two men and one woman up to their apron strings in repressed sexual tension. Throw in battery-assisted phone sex, and something’s definitely rising. Not all the decadent treats in this story are edible, but they’re guaranteed piping-hot—and calorie free. “Batter” up!

Review

Must Love Cakes is a sweet friends to lovers ménage romance that I really enjoyed reading.  It's sexy, romantic and fun with some humorous moments.  This is the third book in the Watkin's Pond series but it can easily be read as a standalone.  It's a quick read that will brighten up your day.

Carrie, Grady and Ben have been best friends forever and own a bakery together.  There have always been rumours that the trio are more than friends - and Grady and Ben wish this was true as they are both in love with Carrie.  When Carrie's idiotic ex is disrespectful at a party, Grady and Ben decide to play up to the rumours.  Can they be more than friends without destroying everything? And is it possible to have a ménage relationship in a gossipy small town?

I'd have liked this book to be a bit longer so we could find out more about the characters and delve deeper into their relationship.  All three characters were likable and there was obvious chemistry between them. Grady and Ben were both so sexy and really nice guys, and Carrie was the kind of character I can imagine being friends with in real life.  This is a fun, sexy book that gets four out of five stars.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
