You can lead a Domme to love…but you can’t make her fall.

Hooded Pleasures, Book 1

Kate Dubois is a Domme-for-hire for the highly exclusive Hooded Pleasures, a service offering private BDSM sessions to those who can’t—or won’t—risk appearing in an actual club.Lately, though, she wonders if professional burnout is causing her to have painfulflashbacks to a past heartbreak. When her boss insists her next client will be a breath of fresh air, Kate reluctantly agrees to an interview.

Alex Hanson dominates the world of computer game programming, but secretly hesuspects he might be a sub in the bedroom. There’s only one good way to find out—hire a professional to show him the ropes.Their first meeting puts both of them to the test—Alex’s self-control, and Kate’srealization she might just like him a little too much. But there’s no denying their emotions are inextricably entangled…a dangerous step Kate’s not sure her heart is prepared to take.

Warning: Contains a hard-core computer geek with a tender side, and a Domme whocan’t afford to expose her greatest weakness—him. Geekery combined with flogging. Enjoy!

Femdom novels are a bit hit and miss for me, but I absolutely loved this one.  Both of the main characters are likeable and are easy to connect with, and the storyline was interesting. I was very impressed with the author's style of writing, it's easy to read and the story flowed well. This is the first book I've read by Sheryl Nantus but it won't be the last, I'll be looking out for future books in this series.

Kate was hurt by her last submissive, so for the last year she's been working as a professional Domme so that she can use her skills without getting emotionally involved. Alex is a video game developer who hires Kate through Hooded Pleasures, so that he can find out if he really is a submissive without risking attending a club.  Throughout their sessions they grow closer and emotions become involved, but Kate insists on keeping things strictly business and won't bend the rules. Can Alex convince Kate that he's the man for her?

Kate was an intriguing character - strong in many ways, but also strangely vulnerable and afraid of getting hurt again.  Alex was a total sweetheart, I loved him to bits. He really cared for Kate and I admired his determination in trying to win Kate's heart. I enjoyed this book a lot, so it definitely gets five stars.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
