Book review - Secrets and Bow Ties by Lou Harper (m/m romance) 5/5 stars

Secrets and Bow Ties by Lou Harper
M/M romance
5/5 stars

Wow! Secrets and Bow Ties simply blew me away - an absolutely fantastic book!  Secrets and Bow Ties is book three of a series, but you can read it as a stand alone with no problem at all.  I will be going back to read the other books though as I loved this one so much.  Lou Harper has created a book full of humour, steamy scenes, emotion, suspense, intrigue and danger.  Secrets and Bow Ties ticks all the boxes for a great read.

'Who said nerdy can’t be sexy?

Dylan is searching for a rich sugar daddy and admits to being a gold digger.  This didn't sound like a character I'd particularly like, but I soon grew to like, then love Dylan.  He has his reasons for looking for a rich partner - having lived on the streets he now craves financial security and somewhere comfortable to live.  Throughout the story Dylan grows as a person and begins to see that his life is shallow and there are more important things than money.  He is hilarious at times, he's sexy and Simon brings out his kind, caring side.

Where do I start with Simon?  He is simply adorable! The sweetly sexy science nerd is such a great character.  You simply can't help falling in love with him.  Shy and socially inept with a terrible fashion sense, Simon can't understand what Dylan sees in him - apart from being somewhere convenient to stay when fleeing from danger.  In return Dylan doesn't see what a smart guy like Simon would see in someone like him.  The relationship between these two is so sweet - they are perfect for each other.

Dylan's search for a rich older man puts him in danger and results in him and Simon running to Las Vegas.  Their Vegas adventure is such fun with makeovers, sexy boylesque shows - and danger lurking around every corner.

The suspense element of this storyline is amazing.  Lots of twists and turns make this a book you simply can't put down.

This book has so many layers, it is brilliantly written.  Funny, sexy, exciting - absolutely fantastic!! Definitely worth five out of five stars.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
