Synopsis
Empathy is an emotion that has always evaded Cam Farrell, president of the Moroad Motorcycle Club and prisoner #18794. He's gambled with his life to finish the gun chain running across the states, get the majority of his MC brothers working inside the prison system, and place the smoke screen in Federal, Idaho. He only needs one more thing—Christina. What he wants, he takes, and freedom doesn't mean a damn thing.
Christina Nickelson keeps to herself and uses her part-time job for Silver Valley's Department of Children's Services to help those who are also alone and hurting. The anger and fear she thought she'd overcome after her parents were murdered resurfaces when an ex-convict and leader of a motorcycle club claims a teenage boy in her care. She can't let her worries go. Putting herself at risk, she finds herself held hostage, witnessing a murder, and questioning fate. The only person she can rely on is the biker who will kill her if she tries to leave.

Review
Wrapped Around Him is a raw and gritty MC erotic romance that I think is a book you will either love or hate - I'm firmly on the 'love' side. It features the ex-con leader of biker club kidnapping a woman who had been writing to him in prison. There is no rape/physical abuse but he cuts her off from her previous life and she is obviously terrified. The story that follows is emotional and dark in places, but it had me gripped from the start and I couldn't put it down.
Social worker Christina is lonely and is still angry and hurting following the murder of her parents. She is attached to a teenage boy in her care and is worried when he is claimed by ex-convict Cam. When she goes to confront him she finds herself held hostage and in danger.
Cam is a character that my brain was telling me I really shouldn't like - but I just couldn't help liking him. He runs a criminal gang, has murdered men, is violent and is holding a woman against her will. But in his mind he's helping Christina by taking her from a lonely existence, and he wants to protect her - twisted logic yes, but by the end of the book I could see where he was coming from. His relationship with Christina is intense and it makes for compelling reading.
This book provided a fascinating insight into the lives of a motorcycle club, it delved much deeper into their criminal activities than in other MC books I've read. It didn't gloss over anything, it was gritty and dark which made the book much more believable. There are many twists and turns in this book and there is a bit of a cliffhanger ending. I've no idea what the future holds for Cam and Christina, so I look forward to reading the next book. Wrapped Around Him definitely gets five stars.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest review
